Care for ceramic tile has evolved. It includes various products such as tools for steaming out dirt, bleaching products to brighten grout or remove mold, and green products which don't include harsh chemicals as previous products did. However, plain old vinegar and baking soda mixed into a paste is great to use for removing mineral deposits, dirt, and brightening tile also. Simply mix the two ingredients in a small bowl adding vinegar to one small box of baking soda, stirring until paste consistency, and use an old toothbrush for the grout -- or a small cloth to rub over tile until clean. Then rinse, and dry with clean cloth or a squeegee.
